Class Notes & Tips

This class is starting the journey to cartoonish super villainy! Well, maybe not quite yet, but having two Nightmare attacks while in the Back Row is not bad for starters.  Because their Front Row attack is also elemental, they still can cut some guys down to size when there as well.  You should take note that at this point his White Defense is rather low.  This is one of the only things that this entire branch of classes really has to worry about.  The reason why I didn’t mention it under the Imp class section is that it isn’t quite as low for him, and you generally don’t see any White attacks (besides Healing, but that doesn’t really count) coming at you until later in the game.  Other elemental attacks don’t cause him any more damage than others really. Just get ready for the wait you have to endure until you can promote to a Devil!

Once you have some Demons, you have to be careful.  Not about them dying, or any such frivolity. But you have to worry about them killing too much! You still need a Charisma of at least 50 in order to make the class promotion. Getting that low of an Alignment should not be a problem for you! However, it is difficult to maintain a high Charisma and low Alignment.  It’s one of the more difficult things to do in this game. That is maybe why the Devil class is so good!  If you need to, just have them sit out a stage or two so that their levels can catch up to those of your enemies. This way, you won’t have these stats changing too much when you do have your Demon take things out.  Or, take advantage of the classes that Debonair can recruit, and presto!  High level Demons at your beck and call!
