Class Notes & Tips

I’ve got something for yooouuu!
Sorry, couldn’t help the commercial reference! Unlike the low budget wonder, this class is actually pretty good.  The improvements from the Hawk Man are the ability to lead a unit, and the change to a ranged elemental attack in the Back Row instead of a simple single direct type.  But he still only gets one! Anyway, another boost is the increase of certain defenses. He has gained big resistances to White & Lightning attacks, but is now very weak to Black & Fire attacks.  These guys can be really hard to hit when you have them in the Front Row, due to their high Agility.  They gain much better than most classes to on average.  However, if you want them to do any sort of damage, you almost have to equip them with a really heavy hitting weapon, like the Ogre Blade, or else you won’t really hurt anything.  This character class is only good for the bonus it gives the entire unit. His fighting aspects leave much to be desired...
It must be Eagle Man!

As with Hawk Men, putting one of these, erm, ‘flighty’ characters sorry ‘bout that! in a unit with small characters will make the entire unit a Low Sky unit. Use this to your benefit.  I like them as Gryphon escorts in a High Sky city liberating unit, similar to the unit that you get once you recruit Canopus to join your rebellion.  Just switch it around to suit your style. If you ever have a doubt as to what character class to stick in a unit, you can do much worse than an Eagle Man.  Fighting isn’t what’s important with these; unit speed is!  But if you have Canopus in your army, he can both fight and fly!
Be legal with Eagle!
