Class Notes & Tips

Here we have the opposite of the Eagle Man.  Like the Eagle Man, this guy can now be a leader, has traded his single back row attack for a single targeted elemental one, and has his defenses shifted around. He has gained big resistances to Black & Fire attacks, but is really weak to White & Cold attacks.  It is wierd how you have to be Level 12 to turn into a Raven Man, yet be only Level 10 for the Eagle Man, when there is almost no measurable benefit.  However, I personally don’t care too much for this class.  It is actually one of my least favorite in the entire game!  The great bonus of giving the entire unit Low Sky is mitigated by the fact that this guy blows in city liberating units.  Because he is evil, you will pulling lots of “BOO!BOO!” Tarot Cards with this guy as a liberator, not to mention the slight loss of Reputation that comes with evil city liberators. On the other hand, if you are going for the evil ending, or don’t give a rat’s ass about your Reputation or any of that, then go all out.  But you may as well use some real character classes, like the Imp class, that can deal damage and serve the same purpose!  Whenever I use them, they always get rocked and die really quickly.
Quoth the Raven Man, “(Use me) nevermore!!”

Well, since I don’t advise using them, there’s not a whole lot I can say here! However, you can probably find a place for them in some city defending units, or in the random fighting unit if you are short on Devils.  You will probably want to put Devils in much more prominent units, so a Raven Man may work for you in those cases.  And, the terrible thing is that if you actually want to use these, only Debonair can recruit them. Otherwise, you have to find them as neutral encounters!  But, serisouly, I mean, would you really want to? A Raven Man just doesn’t fit into my play style, as most character classes that suck don’t!
