Class Notes & Tips

Remember the Werewolf class?  You’re looking at a wannabe right here! During the day, he’s a normal Fighter, but at night, he changes to his more bestial form. However, this guy only gets two attacks instead of the Werewolf’s three, and this guy’s terrain type changes to Forest instead of Mountain.  A Tiger Man gains slightly better levels and has a better set of defenses, but he’s not as useful because of the one less attack. It is really a shame he doesn’t have three attacks, or else he might be useful. A Tiger Man does seem to hit harder than a Werewolf does with the attacks that he does have, but not by that much.  Two attacks that are slightly more damaging is not better than three attacks that do less.  The net damage will always come out in favor for the Werewolf.  Unless he misses with one of them or something. Anyway, there are much better classes out there than this one. Not entirely terrible, but don’t bother with this one!

Getting a Tiger Man is more tricky than getting a Werewolf.  No character class in the game can recruit these, so you’ll have to get them other ways.  The first way is to use the “FULLMOON” (Full Moon Stone) item.  It will add a Tiger Man the unit you use it on, as long as there is a free slot in the unit.  Otherwise, the item will be wasted! You will always get one of these on Fort Shulamana if you visit it after you beat the stage. They can also be found as neutral encounters, but not until the later stages of the game, when they are even less useful.  Or, you could just wait until the enemy has them in his units, and use a “CHARM” (Persuasion Spell) to take them!
