Class Notes & Tips

This class of dragons is different from the others.  The second form, the Tiamat, is as good, if not better, than each of the other branches highest form.  And, the highest for of this path, the Zombie Dragon, needs an “UNDEAD” (Undead Ring) to even get there! More on those other two later! But about this class...  He retains the Plains terrain type from his previous form, which possibly makes him more useful than the other Dragon paths.  At this stage in the game, you won’t find many stages that are mostly snow, mountains, or both.  So, a Black Dragon may be your best bet. However, you don’t have as much flexibility with attack types here.  His Back Row attack, Acid Breath, is considered to be a Physical attack. This is only problematic because most things have fairly defense to this attack type, and so you won’t be doing as much damage as you would with the Silver Dragon or Red Dragon classes.  But that is really a mute point I suppose, because you will just put him in the Front Row, soak up damage, and wait for Level 15Then you will be having some fun!

This class works best in fighting units, or sometimes defending units, if you set his unit on a city that always gets attacked.  Unlike the other two Dragon class branches, you want this guy to kill everything in sight! Needing rock-bottom Alignment, without any Charisma worries at all, is one of the easiest things in this game to do.  So, you will not have to resort to any tricks here to be able to promote this class. The only thing you will need to worry about is his Agility.  As with the other lower class dragons, it’s really horrible, and he will miss a lot, in either position. It will piss you off more than anything else.  But eventually, he will start to hit things, and you won’t have to worry. You can find these either as neutral encounters towards the middle of this game, or the east way; recruited by a Dragon Master.
