Class Notes & Tips

This class, along with the Platinum Dragon, is seriously weak to Black & Fire, but strong to the other four.  You should be able to mitigate this with a shield or armor high in these defenses.  It’s around this time in the game when the Snow movement type will start to benefit you.  And when there aren’t any stages like this, if the slowness really bugs you, just give his unit a day off. It’s really that simple. Because even with the really high Hit Points he gains, he can survive quite a bit longer than a normal character with such low defenses. Just make sure that he doesn’t get too evil fighting things, and will still be able to turn into a Platinum Dragon.

You will want to place this guy in the Front Row.  The reason being is so that he will soak up the damage of direct attackers.  Every now and then, the enemy may target your leader or a Back Row character with one of their long range guys, but they will focus in on the Gold Dragon.  It doesn’t mean you can subject him to endless attacks, though. Especially if you run into some nasty fire-slingers! You will find neutral ones of these in the higher stages, but the easiest way to get one is by having Fenril recruit them for you. You’ll be okay once you get the Platinum Dragon.
