Class Notes & Tips

Nest to the Werewolf, this is probably the best group of Mountain character classes that you will want to use.  There aren’t many of them, but hey...  This current form is only so-so. It’s actually not that much better than a normal Dragon at all. The only thing different to note is the terrain  type change. So, you may as well get him used to his new stomping grounds!  The single most annoying thing about this class is the naming convention of them if you ask me. But I’ll get into that on the next promotion of this class! Anyway, this class will develop a weakness to Cold attacks, so keep that in mind as you progress through this class. The Red Dragon is not as weak to it yet, so you have a few levels to ‘warm up’ to the idea!

Now, if you want to get this guy all the way to a Salamand, it will take some work.  This class is nearly as hard to manipulate gaining levels with as the entire Beast Man class.  You don’t have to worry about any Charisma because he’s a large monster class, but you will have to worry about his Alignment.  You have to keep it between 45 & 65 until he reaches Level 23.  Ouch.  That is no small task!  And, as mentioned on the other Dragon class sections, you will want to put him in the Front Row, so that he can absorb damage for the rest of the unit. This can also make it harder to keep his Alignment in the necessary threshold. If you have any worries, just rearrange your unit every now and then, and put him in the Back Row. This way, you can actively prevent him from killing things by having him target guys with lots of Hit Points instead of weak ones. The way to find these guys is real easy. Recruit Lyon into your army, and poof!  Two Level 7 Dragons, ready for promotion right away!  If you’d care not to have Lyon in your army, then have a Dragon Master recruit one for you, or search in the mountains for them during the middle batch of stages.
