Class Notes & Tips

Funny. Saying that this is the ‘best’ Golem class is not really saying anything.  And for such a crappy character, he costs quite a bit to deploy!  The only thing of worth to note here is that an Iron Golem has really really high defenses.  Except for his Fire Defense, the rest are almost off the charts.  This class also has a Plains terrain type too, so you won’t be bogged down like you were with a Rock Golem.  The whole “Golem Philosophy” of tough but fragile might almost work with this rendition of the class. I am far from recommending this class to anyone, unless they like to make their game harder for themselves on purpose! There’s no help for those people, except to try and help them...

Enh. If I were to actually use a Golem of any type, this would be the one I’d use. However, this class doesn’t gain any more Hit Points per level than the other two. Just an extra Agility on average is all. And, of course since this is the only variation that might be worth a damn, you can’t even recruit one with anybody! You have to find them as neutral encounters. If you are in the market for one, that is...  It’s not so bad, because you will constantly run into them in mountain ranges in the later-middle section of your journey. You will also get in the unit that Yushis provides you when you recruit her.  Still, you won’t have the benefit of Tarot Card pulls to help boost his Hit Points in the early stages, when the enemy units are poorly made well, more poorly made anyway! and more forgiving to the experiment of using this terrible class tree. There are so many better characters to choose from, that it’s just not worth your time.  If it only took up one slot, it wouldn’t be so bad. But two spaces?! I don’t even need to advise you better classes; just pick one out of a hat, and it will more than likely be better than this piece!
