Class Notes & Tips

It may not look like it from these stats, but the Angel class is one of the finer classes in the game.  This class gains loads of Intelligence per level up, which will translate to lots of damage with her ranged attacks later on! The ability to waste away Undead in either position slot of the unit is a very nice feature. But realistically, the Back Row is the only real spot for her! Sadly, there’s only one attack in either position with this class, so you may feel like she’s dead weight. She will get more attacks with each class increase, but for now, you have to stick with her and gain her levels until she can become a SeraphimThat is where the power of this class is!  But you also have to be careful.  The entire Angel class gains average Hit Points levels, but this girl is also very weak to both Physical & Black attacks.  If she gets hit by a Phantom attack by a Mage or the like, she may lose almost half of her Hit Points with just that one attack! This is a long term investment, to be sure, so stick with it.

Angels are slow going at first.  And so are their counterparts, the Faerie class, which an Angel can recruit if she’s a leader. You may want to get a few if you like building them up from scratch. That class can be killer as well, but also takes even longer to fulfill their power. Anyway, Angels do make good Back Row filler early on, and with the Low Sky movement type, they help with the overall unit speed, but won’t give the unit that movement type because they are so small compared to the other characters.  To help them gain levels faster, it is almost a necessity to place them in units with a Princess as the leader.  Going twice as often means twice as fast gaining! I would recommend at least 3 or 4 to start out with, and then weed them down accordingly.
