Class Notes & Tips

This class trades a single targeted attack for one that hits the entire enemy unit!  A very nice upgrade, seeing as you will almost never have her in the Front Row!  This class gains some really really nice levels as well. Not a weak stat in the house; all are above average compared to other classes! The only big problem is her defenses.  They have barely gone up from when she was a Mermaid!  Any equipment that provide bonuses to Fire or Lightning are well placed on a Nixie, as it will raise her defenses to those elements. There really isn’t all that much more to say about this class.  She’s pretty much your only choice of a leader if you want any Ocean terrain units with some Kraken later in the game.  Overall, a so-so character class.

As for unit design, there’s only so much you can do with water units.  I tend to like this unit:
Front Row: Kraken
Back Row: Kraken & Nixie
You’ll get 4 direct attacks & 3 hit-all attacks, which should be good enough against most of the water units that you will face.  And, if you face any non-water units stupid enough to wander nearby you, you should rip them apart nicely.  The only type of unit to watch out for are High Sky units with Back Row Wyvern or Muse in them.  Or characters with similar elemental attacks. They will do some serious damage to any of the characters in this unit.  Which is the problem. By the end of the game, most of the enemy units will contain these combinations of character classes, and you’ll be hurting here. I’m sure there are other unit types suitable for Nixies, but I’ll leave some of that up to you. You can go with or without these if you want.  it’s up to you really.
