Class Notes & Tips

Right now, you are looking at the absolute worst that this game has to offer!  All you have to do is look at the cost of this character, and you know it sucks. A fricking Fighter costs more to deploy!  The reason this class is crap is because it gains such low Hit Points per level. See, the theory behind this class is simple.  Make it tough to damage, but don’t give it many Hit Points to ‘balance’ out high defenses. However, only the second half of the equation really holds up, and holds too well!  This class gains no Hit Points whatsoever!!!  Even a Faerie gains a better average than this class!  Also, a Golem is dangerously weak to Fire attacks, and if you run into an enemy Wizard, he can kill a Golem all by himself! That’s not going to be good for business.  That’s not going to be good for anybody. You would think that a character with three attacks in the Front Row in the very beginning would be of some use to you, even on the second or third stages.  Well....  no. Not this one, anyway!  They just get killed too easily.  Any class that you have to constantly pump “HP+’S” (Vitality Potions) into, just to make usable, is not a good option in my book! And the final irritation is that like the Undead class, this class does not promote to the next form!  Thus, making this basic Golem uttering and completely worthless!

Uhg. There’s no helping you here if you’re using one of these lumbering losers! But seriously, if you are going about this fool thing, I can at least try to give you a pointer or two. The only way that you could ever hope to use one of these is to pair him up with a Cleric or some kind. Your Golem will have a personal healer this way! Another cheeky thing to do is try and get them in city liberation units, as you should do with the Faerie class.  This way, when you pull Justice & Judgment cards, they will gain greatly needed extra Hit Points for free. Or, do the “first pull World” trick, and you don’t even have to bother having him in a liberation unit.  Which is probably better anyway! These guys would work as best as they can in city defending units because they can heal while guarding the town. A Doll Mage can recruit these losers, but this is far too much thought to put into such a worthless class. Do not even bother!
